My more recent work involves an exploration into both structural and geographical space.
More specifically, I am interested in the real and imagined "things" that make up the living world.
These real and imagined "things" are manifested in physical form in my artwork through imagery that relates in some way to cartography, and by utilizing a variety of media in these newer works, I attempt to reimagine, reconfigure, and visualize my own social and historical relationships and experiences with the world around me.
I was born in Thun, Switzerland and raised in both Alberta and Ontario, Canada.
In 1998, I received a BFA in Painting & Drawing from the University of Windsor in Canada and shortly afterwards,
an MFA in Painting & Drawing from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 2001.
Since that point, I have been involved in various solo and group exhibitions; having work displayed in both private and public locations in Ontario, Arkansas, New York, and Texas.
Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Art Education from the University of North Texas in Denton.
